Coinbase Posts Q2 Loss Amid Earnings Miss
Coinbase reported a wider-than-expected loss in Q2 2026, with earnings per share of -$1.36 compared to analysts' forecast for -$0.01. Revenue reached $1.2 billion, below the $1.35 billion expected by Wall Street.
The stock fell 6.53% in after-hours trading to $152.9 after closing at $163.55. Despite signs of business diversification and stronger subscription growth, investors reacted negatively to the sharp earnings miss.
Coinbase One subscriptions reached an all-time high during a weaker crypto market, but Bitcoin-related transactions fell to 12% of revenue, down from more than 50% historically.
