Coinbase has launched a prediction market for the outcome of the Denver vs. Utah sports event, allowing users to trade contracts on the final result. The market, which closed on October 7, 2026, saw a total interest of $1.96 million and a trading volume of $3.9 million. Participants could buy "Yes" or "No" contracts, betting on whether a specific event would occur, with prices reflecting the market’s odds.

The platform operates under strict trading prohibitions, barring current players, coaches, staff, league employees, team owners, and individuals with non-public information from trading. Coinbase Financial Markets, a regulated derivatives entity, oversees the trading, ensuring compliance with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association.

Traders needed a Coinbase account and completed onboarding with Coinbase Financial Markets to participate. Funds could be transferred between main and derivatives accounts, with settlements occurring after the event result was confirmed. Payouts were based on the event’s outcome, with fees applied to each trade.
