Coinbase Predicts Nashville vs. Toronto First Period Total
Coinbase has introduced a new prediction market centered around the first period total of the Nashville vs. Toronto game. This market allows users to trade contracts on the outcome, with each contract paying out $1 if the event happens and $0 if it does not. The price of the contract reflects the market's odds, providing a dynamic way for users to bet on the likelihood of the event.
The market will close and expire when the outcome is determined or by October 6, 2026, at 11:33 PM GMT+0, whichever comes first. Trading prohibitions are in place to ensure fairness, restricting participation from current players, coaches, staff, paid employees, owners, and those with material non-public information.
To participate, users need a Coinbase account and must complete onboarding with Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM). This includes identity verification and basic income/net worth details. Once approved, users can fund their accounts and start trading using cash (USD and USDC) from their main Coinbase account.
The settlement process is straightforward. When the event result is confirmed, each correct contract held by a user settles at $1, and each incorrect contract settles at $0. Payouts are made after settlement, although transfers may be delayed on U.S. bank holidays, weekends, or outside banking hours.
