Coinbase, Robinhood, and BitMine: Three Crypto Stocks with Different Plays
Crypto investors now have several options to gain exposure to the sector without buying Bitcoin or Ethereum directly. Three prominent stocks, Coinbase (COIN), Robinhood (HOOD), and BitMine (BMNR), offer different approaches to playing the crypto market.
Coinbase is building a broad infrastructure play, with 88% of its revenue now coming from sources other than Bitcoin spot trading. The company has diversified its offerings, including subscription and services revenue, which hit $555 million in Q2 2026, making up 48% of net revenue. Coinbase also captured a record 10% share of crypto trading volume in Q2 2026, marking its third straight quarter of market-share gains.
Robinhood, on the other hand, is growing faster and spreading its exposure across equities, options, crypto, interest income, subscriptions, and prediction markets. The company's revenue jumped 32% year over year to a record $1.31 billion in Q2, with diluted earnings per share climbing 48% to $0.62.
BitMine is the most speculative of the three, holding 6 million ETH, roughly 4.9% of Ethereum's circulating supply. The company estimates that fully deploying its ETH through staking could generate around $424 million a year at recent yields.
