Coinbase Seeks Approval for Stock Perpetuals
Coinbase has filed to list perpetual futures tied to over 50 major U.S. stocks, including Nvidia and Microsoft, on its regulated derivatives exchange.
The proposed contracts would trade 24 hours a day from Monday through Friday with no fixed expiration dates, providing traders with leveraged price exposure without owning the underlying shares.
Coinbase's CEO Brian Armstrong described the planned range as the first single-stock perpetual futures offering in the country, saying 'Crypto was first, now it's time for stocks.'
