Coinbase Seeks Approval for US-Listed Perpetual Futures

Share

Coinbase Financial Markets has filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to list single-stock perpetual futures, initially tied to Apple (Apple), Tesla (Tesla), and Nvidia (Nvidia).

The submission was made through the CFTC's product-certification process under Part 40.

This marks another attempt by Coinbase to bring a product long associated with offshore crypto exchanges into the regulated U.S. market.

The perpetual futures model offers futures-style leverage without a fixed expiry date, creating something closer to continuously traded synthetic equity exposure for traders.
