Coinbase Seeks SEC Approval for Perpetual Futures on US Stocks
Coinbase has filed a Form 1-N with the SEC to register Coinbase Derivatives as a national exchange, seeking approval to offer perpetual futures on large-cap U.S. stocks.
The company plans to list security futures and has stated that it aims to offer tokenized stocks in the U.S., pending rules. Analysts have noted the potential competitive impact of this move.
Coinbase has also expanded its Morpho-powered USDC lending to Brazil, allowing users to route app USDC into an audited Morpho vault via Steakhouse Financial with no lock-up period.
