Coinbase Shares Plummet as Q2 Loss Overshadows Record Trading Share
Coinbase shares fell around 5% in after-hours trading following the release of its Q2 earnings report, despite setting records for crypto trading share and stablecoin activity.
The exchange reported a second-quarter loss of $1.36 per share, compared to earnings of $5.14 per share in the same period last year.
Coinbase's global trading share reached 10.3%, marking its third consecutive quarter of market share gains, even as total market volumes declined by double digits.
