Coinbase Shifts International Trading to Deribit Platform

Share

Coinbase has completed its migration of international trading to Deribit on October 1. The move affects eligible non-US institutional accounts in selected jurisdictions, who must now connect through Deribit endpoints and create new API keys.

Existing International Exchange keys are no longer valid, and IP allowlists do not transfer, requiring firms using API or FIX connections to update access settings before placing trades.

Coinbase canceled open International Exchange orders when trading stopped, rather than moving them automatically. Clients must recreate these orders where needed, as instrument names and some order fields differ on Deribit.
