Coinbase Unveils Comprehensive Trading Platform for UK Users

Coinbase has launched its 'Everything Exchange' strategy in the UK by offering nearly 4,000 U.S. stocks for trading to eligible users, along with cryptocurrency and fiat currency holdings.

The platform allows users to start investing from £1, with commission-free trades available 24 hours a day, five days a week. Funding is instant in GBP or USDC, and positions are held in custody by Apex Clearing in the United States.

The launch relies on Coinbase's recently obtained MiFID license, which enables the company to offer equities to retail investors. According to Keith Grose, Regional Managing Director for the UK and Europe at Coinbase, this expansion is a step towards unifying access to various financial products under one platform.
