Coinbase's Base Soars Past $2 Billion in Total Value Locked
Coinbase's Base has reached a significant milestone in its growth trajectory, surpassing $2 billion in Total Value Locked (TVL). This achievement positions it as the second-largest optimistic rollup in the cryptocurrency market. According to data from DeFiLlama, Base's TVL is at $2.116 billion.
This represents a 370% increase from its starting point of $430 million at the beginning of 2024. The platform's TVL includes $3.63 billion in stablecoins and comprises $671.21 million in 24-hour trading volume.
Base now trails only Arbitrum among optimistic rollups on Ethereum, with Base leading in user activity due to its highest number of active addresses and daily transactions among its peers. The platform registered a remarkable 1.1 million interacting users in a single day, along with 8,335 new wallet addresses.
