CoinGecko Upgrades Cybersecurity Component for Centralized Exchanges

CoinGecko, the world's largest independent cryptocurrency data aggregator, has upgraded its cybersecurity component to CORE3. The change affects 166 centralized exchanges and will provide a more forward-looking assessment of emerging risks.

For six years, CoinGecko's exchange cybersecurity score was powered by CER.live's framework. The migration to CORE3 brings new capabilities for assessing potential losses before they occur.

Individual exchange cybersecurity scores are expected to change by no more than two percentage points, ensuring continuity for CoinGecko users. Users will continue to see an exchange's cybersecurity rating alongside key assessment indicators such as penetration testing and Proof of Reserves audits.
