CoinMarketCap has acquired CoinGlass in a move that expands its coverage of leveraged trading data. The deal, which was announced on September 25, 2026, gives CoinMarketCap access to CoinGlass's crypto derivatives data, including open interest, funding rates, and liquidations. This will allow the company's 115 million monthly users to view these metrics alongside cryptocurrency prices.

CoinGlass tracks over 2,500 instruments across 28 exchanges and has a user base of over 5 million people per month. The platform's CEO, Rush, stated that CoinMarketCap is not changing CoinGlass's products or pricing after the acquisition, ensuring continuity for users. Binance, which owns CoinMarketCap, has no influence over the company's rankings.

The acquisition will provide a wider audience with access to derivatives data, which can be useful for traders and investors looking to make informed decisions. However, it remains to be seen how this new partnership will affect the market in the long run.
