CoinMarketCap has expanded its coverage of crypto derivatives data by acquiring CoinGlass for an undisclosed amount.

CoinGlass will continue operating under its existing brand and team, with no changes to its website, app, free tools, API, or pricing.

The acquisition aims to give CoinMarketCap users access to derivatives positioning data alongside cryptocurrency prices, including information on open interest, funding rates, liquidations, and options.

CoinGlass tracks 28 exchanges and over 2,500 instruments, providing a comprehensive view of the crypto derivatives market.
