CoinZoom Crypto Debit Card Transactions Soar Amid High Inflation
The US-based fintech and payments platform CoinZoom reported significant growth in its crypto debit card transactions, with users earning an average of $150 per month in rewards during the first half of 2026.
This growth comes as Americans are struggling with high inflation, particularly for basic goods. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, consumer prices for food at home rose by approximately 23% between 2022 and 2025.
CoinZoom's founder and CEO, Todd Crosland, stated that users can earn up to $100 in rewards per month with the company's debit card, which is equivalent to roughly two full tanks of gas at today's prices. This benefit is significant, especially considering that traditional debit cards typically offer no rewards on spending.
The growth in CoinZoom's crypto debit card transactions is part of a wider trend towards stablecoin-funded debit cards. Industrywide, monthly payment volume on such cards increased by 163% between May 2025 and May 2026, reaching nearly $8.2 billion cumulatively.
