The Coldcard exploit has expanded to affect 4,585 wallets, investigators have now confirmed. The attack is linked to three waves of theft, totaling $88.6 million in Bitcoin (BTC) drained from these addresses.

The most recent wave alone compromised 1,912 wallets and stole 207.73 BTC, significantly increasing the scope of the exploit beyond initial estimates.

What's striking is that despite stealing nearly $90 million worth of BTC, the attacker has chosen not to spend any of it, keeping all funds unspent and consolidated in eight verified wallets.
