Colosseum Launches Crypto World's Fair Hackathon with $800K Prizes
Colosseum, known for hosting large online hackathons in the crypto space, is taking its events to new heights. The company has announced the Crypto World's Fair, a cross-ecosystem hackathon that will run from September 14 to October 12 and offer over $800,000 in prizes and $2.5 million in funding.
The event is significant as it marks Colosseum's move into multi-chain operations. The prize structure rewards both specialization and general excellence, with dedicated tracks for ecosystems like Solana and Tempo offering $100,000 each. Ethereum-related tracks collectively offer another $100,000, bringing the total prize pool to roughly $840,000.
The top-performing teams will get a shot at joining Colosseum's accelerator program, which provides $250,000 in funding for accepted teams. The venture arm behind this has earmarked $2.5 million in seed and pre-seed capital specifically for projects emerging from the hackathon.
