Column Embeds Stablecoins as Native Banking Infrastructure with USDC Payments
Column USDC payments are now embedded in its foundational payments stack as native banking infrastructure. This move allows fintechs to send USDC and USDT alongside cards, wires, ACH, Swift, and RTP through a single API.
Unlike typical on-ramps that require separate integration, Column's stablecoin functionality is integrated directly into its core ledger. This means users can hold USDC in FBO accounts, send and receive it on supported rails, and set up automatic conversion orders from USDC to USD and vice versa.
The launch supports both USDC issued by Circle and USDT issued by Tether. Column says it is already handling tens of billions of dollars in annualized stablecoin payments for clients like Ramp, Brex, and Mercury.
Column's integration with Circle deepens as USDC becomes built into real banking infrastructure. The launch supports a 2026 wave where regulated US banks will embed stablecoins across consumer, business, and treasury products.
