Congress May Revisit Clarity Act as Early as Q1 2024
Billionaire investor Kevin O'Leary believes that the US Congress may revisit the CLARITY Act as early as the first quarter of next year. In a recent interview, O'Leary stated that the Digital Asset Tax Clarification Act (H.R. 10357) passing the House Ways and Means Committee will put pressure on lawmakers to advance a market structure bill for digital assets.
O'Leary emphasized that once taxes are imposed, policy becomes essential for the crypto market. He believes that a legal framework is necessary to govern digital assets alongside a tax regime.
