Conte, currently out of work after leaving Napoli at the end of last season, is reportedly seeking a 'significant new project' and has expressed interest in managing an elite-level squad in England.
Carrick received a contract extension until June 2029 just a few months ago, but INEOS's backing of him seems to be wavering. Despite their public statements that Carrick is their man, the team's poor start to the season has raised questions about his ability to lead them to success.
Conte's resume speaks for itself: six league titles across stints at Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan. He won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus, took Chelsea from a mid-table mess to the Premier League title in his first season, and won the league with Inter Milan.
