The team behind Core Lightning has issued an urgent security update warning users of unpatched Bitcoin nodes to upgrade immediately. The alert comes after reports surfaced that attackers are targeting nodes running version 26.06.7 or earlier.

Core Lightning did not specify which vulnerabilities were being targeted, but the team stressed the importance of upgrading to the latest release as soon as possible. This warning follows a previous update in September where Core Lightning released version 26.06.8, which included bug fixes and patches for reported vulnerabilities.
