Core Scientific Partners with AMD on $14 Billion Data Center Deal

Share

Core Scientific's stock price surged by 4.7% in premarket trading after announcing a major partnership with AMD, valued at over $14 billion in potential contracted revenue.

The deal includes access to more than 500 megawatts of data center capacity starting from 2027, expandable to 2.5 gigawatts. This will support AMD's AI solutions and help accelerate AI adoption for model builders, cloud providers, and enterprises.

Core Scientific has been shifting its focus towards hosting AI and high-performance computing workloads, moving away from crypto mining. The company is positioning itself to meet the growing demand for electricity, land, and data center space driven by cloud providers and enterprises investing in AI infrastructure.
