Core Scientific Rebuilds Bitcoin Treasury Amid AI Expansion
Core Scientific has restarted its Bitcoin accumulation after selling part of its treasury in Q1. The company added 301 BTC to its holdings, bringing its total from 547 BTC to 848 BTC during the second quarter.
This is a reversal of the decline that began earlier this year when Core Scientific sold some of its 2,537 BTC to support its expansion into AI and high-performance computing services. The company used those sales to fund its move into artificial intelligence and data center services.
Core Scientific's second-quarter revenue rose to $164.2 million from $78.6 million in the same period last year, with gross profit increasing to $70 million from just $5 million in Q2 2025.
