CoreWeave Brings AI Computing Power to Indonesian Data Centers
CoreWeave has entered the Asian market with its first data centers in Indonesia, marking a significant expansion for the company.
The move is a major milestone for CoreWeave, which was founded as Atlantic Crypto in 2017 and initially focused on cryptocurrency mining using GPU clusters. By 2019, the company had pivoted to AI-focused cloud computing services and has since reported impressive growth.
In Q1 2026, CoreWeave generated $2.1 billion in revenue, a 112% year-over-year increase. The company now boasts a massive revenue backlog of $99.4 billion, driven by insatiable demand for AI computing power.
CoreWeave's expansion into Asia could unlock new contract opportunities with regional enterprises and governments that prefer not to route their workloads through US data centers.
