Corporate Crypto Buying Accelerates as Treasuries Surge
Publicly traded companies are accumulating large amounts of Bitcoin and Ethereum as part of their treasuries, according to recent announcements. Strategy, one such company, has bought another 1,665 BTC, bringing its total holdings to 847,666 BTC. The average price at which these Bitcoins were acquired is around $75,437.
The value of Strategy's Bitcoin holdings is now approximately $70.5 billion, given the current market price of $83,200 per BTC. Meanwhile, Strive added 1,107 BTC to its coffers, bringing its total holdings to 27,462 BTC.
On the Ethereum front, Bitmine has bought another 17,362 ETH, taking its total holdings to 6 million ETH. This represents nearly 98% of its goal of holding 5% of the total ETH supply.
Tom Lee, chair of Bitmine, believes institutions remain underweight in crypto and could increase their exposure in the final months of 2026.
