Bitcoin hovered around $80,000 on Sunday as investors weighed two key factors: corporate demand and the approach of an important stage in U.S. crypto market regulation.

The leading cryptocurrency was up 0.43% at 12:27 Moscow time, having rebounded sharply from its August drop to about $63,000. However, since the start of 2026, Bitcoin is still down around 9%, and market participants are focused on whether institutional and corporate demand will provide more stable price support.

Strategy remains one of the main corporate buyers, with the company raising $602.8 million through common shares from August 24 to 30 and allocating $369.7 million to purchase 4,603 Bitcoins. As a result, Strategy's cryptocurrency reserves reached 845,050 BTC by August 30.

The U.S. Senate is preparing for a procedural vote on the Clarity Act, which aims to establish a federal market framework for digital assets and divide oversight between the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The vote to end debate is scheduled for September 15.
