Corporate Giants Load Up on Bitcoin Despite Market Volatility
Two major corporate holders of Bitcoin are loading up on more coins despite recent market volatility. Strategy, the largest corporate holder, announced it bought 1,665 BTC last week for $142.7 million. This is its second consecutive purchase after a brief hiatus.
Strategy added that it also acquired $152 million in preferred stock, STRC. The company now holds 847,666 Bitcoins worth $70.5 billion, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Strive, the fifth-largest Bitcoin treasury, bought 1,107 BTC for a total cost of $94.5 million last week. This brings its holdings to 27,462 coins.
