In Q2 2026, corporate Bitcoin holdings surged as businesses acquired approximately 115,000 BTC valued at around $7.4 billion, according to data from River.

This significant increase in corporate buying has led to a clear shift in ownership from retail investors to corporate balance sheets, with individual holders offloading 78,000 BTC during the same period.

Corporations are now accumulating Bitcoin faster than new coins are being created, with businesses purchasing nearly 167,000 BTC since the start of 2026, while Bitcoin miners produced only about 81,000 BTC over the same period.

This trend is dominated by major Bitcoin treasury firms, with Strategy led by CEO Michael Saylor remaining the largest corporate holder with more than 847,000 BTC.
