Cosmos EVM chains were instructed to halt by Cosmos Labs on August 25 in response to a security incident. The company's security and engineering teams have been actively responding to the issue, which has already affected multiple networks.

KiiChain reported that an attacker drained 148,326,583.15 KII from wallets on August 22 through 18 repeated attacks. TAC also experienced an unauthorized asset movement, with one account being drained before validators halted its network at block 24,671 on Saturday.

MANTRA stopped its network on August 20 after detecting suspicious activity involving two project-managed wallets and resumed block production after a roughly 30-hour halt. The company stated that user balances remained unchanged throughout the incident.

Cosmos Labs has not disclosed the affected chains, vulnerability details, or aggregate losses publicly to date, but promised an incident report once the situation is resolved.
