Cosmos Hub Recovers Stolen ATOM Tokens Following Governance Attack

A recent governance attack on Neutron resulted in approximately 1.73 million ATOM tokens being transferred to Cosmos Hub.

The attackers then attempted to withdraw the stolen funds, prompting validators to temporarily halt the network for around 24.5 hours.

During this time, a total of 12.27 million ATOM was left on the attacker's hub address and was subsequently moved into a multi-signature wallet held by Nansen, Keplr, Enigma, Silknodes, Kiln, and Polkachu.

The funds in this multi-signature wallet can only be returned after a proposal is submitted to Cosmos Hub governance and approved.
