Cramer Sees Room for Four Memory Chip Stocks to Keep Climbing
Jim Cramer, host of Mad Money, believes that four memory chip stocks will continue to climb despite some of 2026's biggest gains. These companies include Micron (MU), SanDisk (SNDK), Seagate (STX), and Western Digital (WDC).
Cramer argues that these stocks have broken their boom-and-bust pattern due to persistent memory chip shortages in AI data centers, which Elon Musk has called the key bottleneck to growth. This shortage is driving demand, not hype, according to Cramer.
Micron has seen a 242% gain this year and boasts an impressive gross margin of 85%, up from 39% last year. Cramer's Charitable Trust bought Micron during a recent pullback tied to South Korean peers' selloff. He plans to visit the company's Idaho research facility this week to interview CEO Sanjay Mehrotra.
Cramer believes that Micron could double again if data center demand holds, and he's not alone in his optimism. The stock trades near seven times fiscal 2027 earnings estimates, making it a potentially attractive investment opportunity for those looking to capitalize on the memory chip shortage.
