CRCL Stocks Soar as Bitcoin Surges, Bolstered by Stablecoin Adoption
Circle Internet Group's stock (CRCL) has been on an upward trend, rising by 4.24% in recent trading due to the surge in Bitcoin's price above $71,000. This increase in Bitcoin's value has led to a rally in crypto-linked names, with CRCL moving in tandem as traders seek leveraged exposure to the move.
The company's stock also received a boost after it was announced that Hotcoin's new TradFi platform would allow users to trade tokenized U.S. stocks 24/7 using stablecoins, with USDC from Circle Internet Group being highlighted as a 1:1 USD-backed settlement option. This news has sparked growing on-chain volumes and deeper network effects for CRCL.
However, the stock did dip slightly over 1% after the company agreed to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments firm Tazapay, with traders expressing caution regarding integration and cost risks.
Despite this, Circle Internet Group's fundamentals remain strong, with $701.3M in total revenue and $48.2M in net income over the most recent quarter, along with a profit margin of 15% and operating cash flow of roughly $517.4M.
