Cregis, a provider of digital asset payments and custody infrastructure, has teamed up with Remi Technology to build a secure network for regulated financial institutions. The partnership aims to streamline cross-border digital asset transactions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Remi Technology, based in Singapore, is developing a digital asset network that connects banks, payment service providers, and foreign exchanges, offering features like structured data exchange, transaction tracking, and compliance coordination.
Bison Bank, a licensed bank in Portugal and a strategic partner of Remi, provides the banking foundation for this initiative. Cregis contributes its expertise in digital asset security and management, leveraging technologies like multi-party computation (MPC) and hardware security modules (HSMs). The collaboration is designed to integrate digital asset activities within existing frameworks for access control, risk management, and governance.
Shawn Yan, CEO of Cregis, emphasized the need for digital asset infrastructure that aligns with the operational requirements of financial institutions. The partnership builds on Bison Bank’s expansion into digital assets, including the launch of euro- and US dollar-linked electronic money tokens in May 2026. Sam Su, CEO of Remi Technology, highlighted the importance of reliable technical connectivity, a sound banking foundation, and robust security for cross-border digital asset settlement.
As financial institutions increasingly explore blockchain applications, the demand for secure, compliant, and interconnected digital asset infrastructure grows. Remi’s network supports KYC/AML processes, transaction screening, and compliance monitoring, while Cregis provides solutions for wallets, payments, and institutional custody. The collaboration aims to facilitate broader adoption of digital assets in financial services by addressing key operational challenges.
