Cronos Blockchain Rolled Back After $120M Exploit
Cronos blockchain suffered a major rollback of nearly two hours of transaction history after a $120.4 million exploit on the Tectonic lending protocol.
The attack artificially inflated the price of the TONIC token to borrow funds against overvalued collateral.
The network halted at 14:32 UTC and resumed after an 11-hour pause, reversing all transactions between 12:38 and 14:33 UTC, including those unrelated to the attack.
While most users' balances reverted to their pre-attack state, some suffered losses if they acted on payments that were later erased or bridged funds to other chains.
