Cronos Loses Altcoin Rally Momentum Amid Resistance Levels
Cronos (CRO) experienced a decline of about 5.56% as the momentum from last week's altcoin rally faded, despite ongoing strong capital inflows into digital assets.
The move is unexpected, given the bullish technical signals present in the market, with CRO trading above both its 20- and 50-day moving averages but struggling to clear longer-term resistance levels.
Notably, the token's volume nearly tripled its monthly average in late September 2026, driven by a broad altcoin surge influenced by increased capital inflows into Bitcoin ETFs. However, there were no specific new announcements from the Cronos ecosystem during this time.
Technical indicators show strong short- and medium-term bullish momentum, but also indicate overbought conditions, suggesting that CRO/USD may consolidate in a $0.05539 to $0.07602 range.
