Cronos, the blockchain platform behind the CRO token, is working to regain trader confidence after a major security incident in late August. The incident saw an attacker manipulate collateral values on Cronos to borrow approximately $120.4 million from Tectonic.

According to DefiLlama data, the current price of CRO sits at $0.06, with a market cap of $2.984 billion against a fully diluted valuation of $5.917 billion and a circulating supply of 48.543 billion out of a maximum supply of 100 billion.

While the token has recovered steadily since the incident, its price remains down significantly over the past year, with a YTD decline of 33.65% and a 1-year drop of 76.09%. The current bounce in CRO's price comes as the network works to rebuild confidence after the security event.

A confirmed breakout above $0.06895 would open the door to higher targets, but for now, the price remains range-bound between $0.05366 and $0.06895.
