Cross-Border Stablecoin Transfers Surge by 77.5%

Share

The volume of cross-border stablecoin transfers has surged by 77.5% over the latest reporting period, according to data from Chainalysis' Geography of Cryptocurrency Report 2026.

The average monthly volume of cross-border transactions more than doubled from approximately $11 billion in January 2025 to $24 billion in June 2026.

While the actual volume of international stablecoin transfers is likely higher, Chainalysis emphasizes that the current statistics only account for transactions where both sender's and recipient's countries can be identified.

The average cross-border transfer amounts to around $3,000, a figure that analysts believe does not correspond to typical institutional transactions, indicating growing practical use of stablecoins for everyday activities like paying suppliers or transferring savings out of unstable national currencies.
