Crusoe Triples Valuation to $30.9 Billion After Record Funding Round
Crusoe, a US data center developer, has closed a $3.9 billion Series F funding round, valuing the company at a remarkable $30.9 billion post-money.
This is a significant jump from its previous valuation of $10 billion in February 2023, which itself was tripled in just ten months.
The company's roots lie in Bitcoin mining, but it has since shifted focus to building data centers for AI workloads and exited crypto mining altogether. Its energy-first strategy involves securing sites with available power and then building data centers around them.
Crusoe is a key partner of OpenAI's Stargate project, designing and building the massive data center campus in Abilene, Texas. The company also counts Meta, Microsoft, Oracle, Cognition, Figure, Perplexity, and Jane Street as clients or partners.
