CRV Sees 3% Gain Amid Governance News and DeFi Momentum
Curve (CRV) has seen a 3.07% gain over the last 29 hours, building on an existing uptrend that began in August. CRV was one of the top-performing major coins at the time, gaining about 75%, and its recent move is being attributed to momentum trading rather than a new, isolated event.
The appointment of yRisk as the new risk-management provider for crvUSD and Llamalend by Curve DAO has been seen as a key factor in CRV's success. This decision was made on September 2-3, with an overwhelming yes vote from more than 621 million veCRV.
According to some X threads, the stablecoin market growth is benefiting CRV, as it remains one of the main venues for stablecoin swaps and liquidity gauges. The large amount of CRV already locked and reduced annual emissions have also contributed to its recent performance.
