CRV Token Breaks Above Resistance as Curve's DeFi Footprint Expands
The Curve (CRV) token has broken above a descending trendline that had contained its recovery attempts for months, entering breakout territory.
After pushing through the $0.35-$0.36 resistance zone, CRV rose from around $0.295 on August 30 to above $0.37 within days.
The move is occurring alongside stronger activity across Curve's core DeFi products, including its DEX and lending side.
Curve's protocol metrics show that the price move is supported by a 91.2% increase in weekly trading volume on its DEX to $1.1 billion, while TVL increased 4.7% to $1.54 billion.
The token economics of Curve are also providing another important element to the current setup, with 851 million CRV locked and approximately 781 million veCRV outstanding.
