Crypto ATM Operator Cryptolink Loses 96 Machines Over Compliance Failures
Australia's financial crime regulator, AUSTRAC, has taken action against Cryptolink's cryptocurrency automatic teller machines (CATMs). The agency has forced 96 of these machines offline for three months due to renewed compliance failures. This is not the first time Cryptolink's ATMs have been targeted by AUSTRAC.
The suspension follows earlier enforcement over transaction reporting and anti-money laundering controls. It is unclear what specific issues led to this latest action, but it highlights the importance of regulatory compliance in the cryptocurrency sector.
