Crypto Billionaires Donate £72 Million to Nigel Farage's Reform UK

Reform UK has received a £36 million donation from cryptocurrency billionaire Christopher Harborne, matching a previous gift of the same amount by Ben Delo. In an article for The Daily Telegraph, Harborne said his donation was 'a philanthropic gift to our country' intended to help Reform prepare for government.

Harborne, the party's largest donor, has already given £9 million to the party last August and is currently donating around £1 million a month. He announced that he matched Delo's donation due to his competitive spirit, with the hope that others will join them in supporting Reform.

The twin donations come as the UK government considers capping overseas donations at £100,000 and suspending funding through cryptocurrency. The draft legislation still needs to be passed by the House of Lords before becoming law.
