Crypto Billionaires Donate £72M to Nigel Farage's Reform UK Party

Two cryptocurrency billionaires have made major donations to Nigel Farage's Reform UK party, totaling £72 million. Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo each donated £36 million just days apart, with Harborne matching a previous record donation of £36 million made by Delo.

Harborne, the party's biggest donor to date, stated that he expects no benefits in return for his donations, saying 'Nothing. No peerage, no policy change, just a party that is ready for government.' Farage's party has been boosted by these significant donations, with Harborne and Delo demonstrating their confidence in Reform UK's potential.

Delo co-founded the cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX and was previously convicted of failing to implement an anti-money laundering program. He was pardoned by Donald Trump last year and has since dedicated himself to philanthropy, signing the Giving Pledge in 2019.

Harborne's wealth comes from his work as a management consultant at McKinsey and Co before relocating to Asia to run a research company. He is now the chief executive of Sherriff Global Group and owns AML Global, a firm that sells aviation fuel.
