Crypto Billionaires Fuel Reform UK's Record-Breaking Donations

Reform UK has received its second £36 million donation from a cryptocurrency billionaire in as many weeks, matching the sum donated by Ben Delo. The party's largest donor, Thai-based businessman Christopher Harborne, announced on Saturday that he would be matching Delo's record-breaking gift. This follows a series of high-profile donations to Reform UK, which has been under scrutiny over its finances and potential breaches of election laws.

Harborne said in an interview that his competitive spirit was the inspiration behind his donation, stating 'My competitive spirit inspired me to match it, so that is what I've done.' He also clarified that he expects nothing in return for his donations, saying 'No peerage, no policy change, just a Party that is ready for government.'

The twin £36 million donations come as the party faces an ongoing investigation into allegations of breaching election laws. Reform UK has denied any wrongdoing and has vowed to cooperate with the probe.
