Crypto.com Affiliate Nadex Clears SEC Hurdle for Single-Stock Futures
Crypto.com's affiliate Nadex has cleared a significant hurdle to offer single-stock futures in the US. The Securities and Exchange Commission acknowledged a Form 1-N filing from Nadex on September 16, placing the platform among the first crypto-native operators authorized to offer equity-linked derivatives in the world's largest capital market.
The regulatory architecture behind this development traces back to March 2022, when Foris DAX Markets acquired Nadex. This acquisition laid the groundwork for equity-linked products by giving Crypto.com's derivatives arm the ability to operate a regulated US exchange with in-house clearing capability.
Crypto.com | Derivatives North America holds a full stack of CFTC licenses, including a futures commission merchant registration, amended DCM designation, and derivatives clearing organization authorization. This vertical integration enables the platform to custody margin, clear trades, and operate the exchange without relying on third-party infrastructure.
Crypto.com's chief executive Kris Marszalek confirmed the milestone in a social media post, stating that the company is now 'authorized' to bring single-stock futures to the US market through OG.com. The firm is working with both the SEC and CFTC as it pursues perpetual futures tied to individual equities.
