Crypto.com Eyes Single-Stock Perpetual Futures in U.S. Equity Market Push

Share

Crypto.com has taken a significant step into U.S. equity derivatives after its North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex) registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to trade security futures products through OG.com.

The registration became effective on September 14, allowing Crypto.com to offer futures tied to individual U.S. stocks. This move could support a broader push into products linked directly to U.S. equities beyond crypto derivatives and event contracts.

Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek stated that the company is working with regulators to offer single-stock perpetual futures, which would combine the innovations of digital asset markets with U.S. capital markets.

The SEC and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will need to coordinate on how to regulate single-stock futures, as well as perpetual contracts, which introduce additional questions around market hours, surveillance, and price behavior when underlying shares are closed or halted.
