Crypto.com's Ambitious AI Agent Project Stuck in Stealth Mode
Crypto.com's ambitious AI agent project, unveiled to great fanfare during the Super Bowl in February, remains stuck in 'stealth mode' nearly eight months later.
The platform, which promises to perform a wide range of tasks from trading stocks to updating online dating profiles, crashed under the weight of curious users after its high-profile launch. Since then, the website has displayed a message indicating that AI agent generation is queued due to high demand.
Crypto.com confirmed to Cointelegraph that the platform is still being worked on and provided no further details. Despite this setback, rival exchanges have already begun offering their own AI assistants focused on narrower tasks such as trading and portfolio management.
The prolonged wait has raised questions about Crypto.com's ability to deliver on its ambitious plans. The company continues to invest in AI, however, and has launched other services including an integration with OpenClaw that allows customers to deploy a personal AI trading agent.
