Crypto derivatives liquidations reached $191 million over the past 24 hours, indicating significant losses among traders betting on rising prices. Long positions accounted for most of the total, with $107 million in long liquidations compared to $83.38 million for short positions.
The largest asset-level totals for Bitcoin and Ether came from short positions. Bitcoin (BTC) saw $11.87 million in long liquidations and $24.71 million in short liquidations, while Ether (ETH) had $11.03 million in long liquidations and $15.69 million in short liquidations.
The overall losses were concentrated among traders betting on rising prices, with 66,942 people being liquidated during the period. The largest single liquidation was a $3.14 million ZEC-USD position on Hyperliquid.
