Crypto ETF Resilience Endures Despite Rising Rates and Legislative Hurdles
Crypto ETFs have shown remarkable resilience in the face of rising interest rates and legislative hurdles. The recent rally in Bitcoin prices, which has reached near $85,000, has brought attention back to Bitcoin ETFs and the broader crypto ETF universe.
Renewed inflows into these funds suggest that investor demand remains strong despite ongoing uncertainty. In fact, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted almost $3 billion in inflows over the past month, with $2 billion going into the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).
The resilience of Bitcoin can be attributed to its growing role in the debasement trade, where it is increasingly being used alongside gold as a hedge against fiscal deficits and currency devaluation. Despite higher interest rates, which would typically pressure riskier assets, Bitcoin has outperformed gold, suggesting that demand and ETF access are offsetting traditional rate headwinds.
