Crypto ETFs Attract Record Inflows Amid Macro Economic Pressures
Crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted a record $292 million in net inflows on September 14, according to recent data. This surge was largely driven by Bitcoin ETFs, which accounted for $160 million of the total, followed closely by Ethereum ETFs at $121 million.
BlackRock and Fidelity were among the main contributors to these record-breaking inflows, with BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF alone accounting for a significant $134.3 million. Despite macroeconomic pressures such as rising bond yields and oil prices, this influx of capital suggests that institutional investors remain optimistic about the future prospects of cryptocurrencies.
The recent surge in crypto ETF inflows may also be seen as a sign of positioning ahead of potential regulatory changes that could further legitimize cryptocurrencies. This is an indication of strong interest in the sector from institutional players.
